Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 3, 2026
Fylent is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how our website operates and why your data remains completely private.
The most important thing to understand: We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any of your files on our servers. All processing happens entirely in your browser.
By using any tool on this website, you automatically accept and agree to this Privacy Policy.
100% Client-Side Processing
All file conversions, transformations, and processing happen entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device.
No Uploads to Servers
When you select a file, it is read directly by your browser's memory (RAM). We have no servers to receive or store your files.
No Cloud Storage
We do not use any cloud storage services, databases, or file systems to store user files. Your files exist only in your browser's temporary memory while you use the tool.
Automatic Memory Clearing
When you close the browser tab or navigate away, all file data is automatically cleared from memory. Nothing persists.
1. You Select a File
When you choose a file using the file picker, your browser reads it into temporary memory (RAM) using the File API.
2. Browser Processes the File
JavaScript libraries running in your browser (like PDF.js, SheetJS, etc.) process the file locally on your device.
3. You Download the Result
The processed file is created in your browser's memory and offered as a download. It's never sent to us.
4. Memory is Cleared
Once you download or close the tab, all data is immediately removed from your browser's memory.
You can verify this by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12) and checking the Network tab - you'll see no file uploads.
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with privacy-first settings to understand how our website is used and improve it. We collect:
- Page views and tool usage (which tools are most popular)
- Browser type and version (to ensure compatibility)
- General location (country/region level only, no precise location)
- Anonymous tool usage metrics: file type processed (e.g., 'pdf'), file size category (e.g., 'small', 'large'), processing duration, success/error rates, and output format selected
- We do NOT track: Your files, file names, file contents, or any personally identifiable information. IP addresses are anonymized.
Specific Events We Track
To improve our tools, we track anonymous usage events:
- Tool page visits - which tools you access
- File selections - file type and size category only (never file names or content)
- Processing events - start time, completion, success/failure status
- Downloads - output format and file count
- Errors - error types to help us fix bugs
- Navigation - which tools are used together
All event tracking is completely anonymous and privacy-first. We never access or track the actual content of your files.
This data is completely anonymous and helps us improve the website for everyone. You can opt-out by blocking analytics cookies in your browser settings or through our cookie consent banner.
We may use cookies and browser local storage for:
User Preferences
Language selection, theme preferences, tool settings
Cookie Consent
Your cookie consent choice (accepted or rejected) to remember your analytics preferences
Analytics Cookies (with your consent)
If you consent to analytics, we use cookies from Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to track anonymous usage patterns. These cookies do NOT contain any personal information or file data.
NOT Used For Files
We never store your files or file contents in cookies or local storage
You can clear cookies anytime through your browser settings. You can also change your analytics consent preferences by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
By using Fylent, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

HTTPS Encryption
Our website uses HTTPS to encrypt all communication between your browser and our website.
No Backend Vulnerabilities
Since we don't store files on servers, there's no database to hack or file server to breach.
Regular Updates
We keep our libraries and dependencies up-to-date to patch security vulnerabilities.
Client-Side Security
Your files are protected by your browser's security sandbox. Different tabs and websites cannot access each other's data.
Under GDPR and similar privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your data
- Data portability
- Object to data processing
However, since we don't collect or store any of your personal data or files, there is nothing to access, delete, or export. Your data never reaches us.
Our website does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since we don't collect personal data at all, this is inherently compliant.
Our website uses the following third-party services:
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
A tag management system that helps us manage and deploy analytics tracking. GTM itself does not collect data; it loads other tools like Google Analytics. View Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
For anonymous usage statistics with IP anonymization enabled. We use privacy-first settings including anonymized IPs, no user-level tracking, and no cross-site tracking. View Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Content Delivery Network (CDN)
To serve JavaScript libraries and static assets faster
These services do NOT have access to your files. They only collect anonymous usage data as described in their privacy policies. All tracking respects our privacy-first principles.
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or our practices, please contact us:
- We don't see, store, or transmit your files

- We are not liable for any issues or damages

Your privacy is our priority. You can verify our claims by checking your browser's developer tools (F12) to see that no files are uploaded.
